Description	Faegre Baker Daniels LLP Tax Exempt Organizations Associate Faegre Baker Daniels LLP has an opening in its Minneapolis office for an associate with 4 or more years of experience in private practice with a focus on advising tax-exempt organizations. The successful candidate will be very familiar with the tax, corporate, and charitable trust issues that are unique to tax-exempt and nonprofit organizations. These include applying for and maintaining federal income tax exemption, the private foundation tax rules, nonprofit corporate formation and reorganization, governance matters, charitable tax deduction, endowment funds, tax rules governing political activity and executive compensation, joint ventures, unrelated business income tax, IRS examinations, and attorney general investigations. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and organizational skills, and professional recommendations. Our firm has a longstanding and highly respected practice advising many of the region's leading charitable foundations, nonprofit hospitals and healthcare providers, cultural and arts organizations, educational institutions, museums, churches and religious organizations, tradeassociations, affordable housing organizations, and a wide variety of other nonprofits.
