Key Responsibilities There are currently 10 secondees on the ground, headed by 1 Partner. This newly created role will sit within the Finance team and concentrate on a broad range of debt capital markets work spanning the whole of the MENA region and beyond, and works closely with the wider Capital Markets teams based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We work on a broad variety of matters under both English ,UAE and Saudi law including: - Global Medium Term Note Programmes (together with our on the ground US securities law capability) - Islamic Finance and sukuk transactions - Regulatory Capital and Liability Management Transactions - Convertible Bonds We act for the leading global and regional financial institutions as well as leading regional corporates. Lawyers are given the chance to handle a tremendous variety of work and the partners actively work towards ensuring individual lawyers receive their preferred mix of work. You will be given responsibility for running transactions and working closely with clients and other lawyers. This means that you will develop outstanding transaction management and organisational skills as well as developing superb technical abilities. Skills and Qualifications We are looking for a committed and ambitious mid to senior level Capital Markets lawyer who has gained relevant experience in a top tier firm. Extensive prior exposure to DCM is required. You will be able show management experience as well as the ability to supervise and train junior lawyers. You will also have a broad exposure to the other areas of Capital Markets we work with. In all cases, you should have first class legal ability coupled with a practical commercial approach, excellent drafting and communication skills and enjoy being part of a friendly outgoing team.
