Key Responsibilities The team concentrates on Islamic finance work across the asset classes. Our work spans the whole of the MENA region and beyond. We work on a broad variety of matters under both English and UAE law including: - Project financings across all sectors, especially petrochemicals, power and water - General banking transactions such as syndicated corporate financings, acquisition and real estate finance - Islamic structuring of capital markets (sukuk), structured products and funds. We act for the leading global and regional financial institutions as well as leading regional corporates. Lawyers are given the chance to handle a tremendous variety of work and the partners actively work towards ensuring individual lawyers receive their preferred mix of work. You will be given responsibility for running transactions and working closely with clients. This means that you will develop outstanding transaction management and organisational skills as well as developing superb technical abilities. Skills & Experience We are looking for a committed and ambitious lawyer with 5 to 7 PQE. You will be able to show management experience as well as the ability to supervise and train junior lawyers. You will also have gained strong experience in a top tier firm in more than one of the Islamic Finance areas that we handle, in particular Islamic Finance structuring. In all cases, you should have first class legal ability coupled with a practical commercial approach, excellent drafting and communication skills and enjoy being part of a friendly outgoing team.
