Applicants should possess a minimum of five (5) years experience in patent prosecution. Broad knowledge of patent policies and procedures, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstrate a high level of initiative and discretion. Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service and general office skills. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting Firm timekeepers in accurately and thoroughly preparing, reviewing, filing and reporting USPTO documents, updating charts/spreadsheets/databases, producing shells for responses, docket management, filing/scanning and management of correspondence (electronic and paper). Must possess the ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team. Must be extremely organized and able to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail in a professional fast paced environment. Knowledge of general accounting practices, including time entry and billing, is a plus. College degree is highly preferred. Strong computer skills including keyboarding, and a level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and MS Word is required. Some flexibility/overtime may be required.
