The Asian offices are a key part of the firms overall long term strategy and the Hong Kong office plays a key role in this. Working closely with Hayden Flinn, Josh Cole, Simon Milne and their respective teams, you will have a focus on private M&A transactions, including funds and telecommunications/internet matters. You will be responsible for varied challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market and have an enviable range of clients. You will receive great mentoring from senior lawyers and partners and work in a friendly, supportive environment. About the team Our funds team creates innovative solutions for local and foreign participants in the financial services industry, including fund Managers, issuers of structured products and stockbrokers. You will have: - at least 5 years of post qualification legal experiences; - admission in Hong Kong is preferable but not essential; - solid private M&A experiences is a must; - telecommunications experience will be regarded favourably but is not essential; - excellent analytical, communication and research skills - to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice; - strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients; - strong team focus - to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships and to mentor junior colleagues; - enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks; - fluent English language skills and first rate experience of drafting documents are essential; and - proficiency in Mandarin is desirable.
